One step closer to opening first ReStore in Eastern Panhandle

By Staff | Sep 15, 2023

Habitat for Humanity of the Eastern Panhandle is happy to announce that the first ReStore fundraiser was a success!

Habitat for Humanity of the Eastern Panhandle wishes to thank all the local businesses, golf courses and community members who donated items for the auction, as well as those that purchased items. Thank you! Through your generosity, the online auction raised $3,000. All funds will be used towards the opening of a ReStore here in the Eastern Panhandle.

Habitat for Humanity of the Eastern Panhandle extends a huge thank you to J Lawyer Auction Services of Berkeley Springs, for donating their services to make the auction possible.

Habitat ReStores are nonprofit home improvement stores and donation centers that sell new and gently used furniture, home accessories, building materials and appliances to the public at a fraction of the retail price. Revenue from the Eastern Panhandle’s future ReStore will be used to further the mission of Habitat for Humanity of the Eastern Panhandle.

Habitat for Humanity of the Eastern Panhandle is currently looking for a space to lease for the store. The goal behind this search is to find a suitable space on or near a major thoroughfare that will be easily accessible to all three counties in the Eastern Panhandle. High visibility, easy access for customers and a lot of parking spaces near this location is a must. Direct access for purchase pickups and donations is also an important factor in selecting the ReStore location. If you know of an available space that meets these specifications, please reach out to Habitat for Humanity of the Eastern Panhandle at 304-263-3154 or info@habitatep.org.
