Let the people choose the governor
After visiting many towns and talking with hundreds of West Virginians, it is clear to me that they are very dissatisfied with the two-party system that runs West Virginia politics and, in particular, the governor’s office.
Few have even heard the names of the three non-major parties’ candidates, their principles or their platforms, because they, to the detriment of us citizens, are given no voice on media forums.
The West Virginia Broadcasters Association — in charge of television and radio stations across the state — could well serve its citizens by staging a debate, so the people of West Virginia can make an informed, intelligent decision during the General Election, by meeting and hearing all gubernatorial candidates’ principles and policies.
Nov. 5, 2024 will be historical for West Virginia, since the Constitution Party will have its first candidate for governor on the ballot.
Let’s let the people choose the governor, not the two parties. Thank you.
