A video worth remembering
About 15 years ago, a really great video on the history of Shepherdstown was produced and broadcast many times on Virginia networks, as part of Shepherdstown resident Wayne Bronson’s “Road Trip to History” series.
It was also made possible by the late, great Jay Hurley; recently passed, much beloved Betty Ann Lowe (Snyder); also featuring the late, wise and kind architecture-loving Dave Kemnitzer; the late, bigger-than-life Ed Dunleavy, who got the ball rolling that has — in succeeding hands — saved magnificently the Shepherdstown Battlefield; and finally among the very wisest — the late Charles Printz, our one-time national president of the Sons of the American Revolution. They are all featured on the video, talking about our town that they loved, from all of their different perspectives. It was truly a beautifully produced video, by Wayne and Brenda.
The DVD of this video is not on YouTube. It makes sense, out of love for these great people, to go by Hurley’s General Store and purchase a copy or two, while copies are still left.
