Climate change arguments are usually focused on the environmental impacts of climate change, but we must consider its profound impacts on public health and the economy too. The World Health Organization highlights that nearly the entire global population breathes dirty air, leading to millions of premature deaths every year. Economically, climate-related disasters have drained trillions from the global economy over the past decade.

A carbon tax and dividend solution offers a workable solution. By charging polluters and refunding the receipts to citizens, we can spur a clean energy revolution while delivering economic relief to ordinary Americans. The Inflation Reduction Act has already enabled families to save around $1,000 annually on energy bills.

It is time to rewrite the story and to embrace policies that address the causes of climate change and leave a healthier, more prosperous world for everyone.
