AWS participating in community fundraiser

By Staff | Jan 11, 2013

The Animal Welfare Society of Jefferson County is proud to participate in the Bob Evans “Dine to Make a Difference” Community Fundraiser. Dine at Bob Evans in Ranson at 132 Joshua M. Freeman Blvd. from Jan. 11-18 , 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and 15 percent of the sales will be donated to the Animal Welfare Society.

This is a great opportunity to grab family and friends, enjoy a great meal and help support the efforts of AWS in helping to take care of the needs of the abandoned, abused and surrendered animals of Jefferson and surrounding counties. The Animal Welfare Society is a non-profit, no-kill shelter and United Way agency located on Leetown Pike near the Jefferson County Fairgrounds and is celebrating its’ 60th year of service to the community.

Participants must present a copy of the flyer posted on the AWS web site at www.awsjc.org or stop by the shelter or Petco in Ranson to pick up a flyer. Visit the AWS web site to view pets available for adoption and to learn more about the organization and upcoming events, such as the Valentine’s Purrfect Buffet and Auction on Feb. 16 at the Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races.
