PRINCETON, W.Va. – Sophomore cornerback DJ Scott (Frederick, Md./Thomas Johnson) of the Shepherd University football team has been named WVIAC Co-Defensive Player of the Week after his standout play in Shepherd’s 38-17 win over Bowie State on Saturday.

Scott had just three tackles in the non-conference win over Bowie State but his presence was huge. He recorded two interceptions totaling 100 return yards. One interception went for a 92-yard return for a touchdown.
