Jeschelnik lands player of week title

PRINCETON – Senior setter Lauren Jeschelnik (Huntingtown, Md./Huntingtown) of the Shepherd University volleyball team has been named the WVIAC Player of the Week, as announced by the league office.

Jeschelnik helped the Rams go 2-1 on the week in preparation of the upcoming WVIAC Tournament. She posted a .351 attack percentage in the three matches. In the victory over Glenville State, Jeschelnik notched an astounding .857 attack percentage, helping head coach Sarah Smith pick up her 100th career win. Jeschelnik also narrowly missed a triple-double against Shippensburg, totaling 37 assists, 20 digs and nine kills. For the week, the senior setter had 71 assists, 32 digs, 17 kills and seven blocks.
