PRINCETON – Junior forward Chad Moore (Winchester, Va./John Handley) of the Shepherd University men’s basketball team has been named the WVIAC Player of the Week, as announced by the league office.

Moore guided the Rams to a 61-55 victory at West Virginia State on Saturday in the team’s lone game of the week. He nearly posted a triple-double with 16 points, 16 rebounds and eight blocks. Moore’s eight blocks tied a Shepherd single-game record. For good measure, he added three steals and three assists.

The victory marked the Rams’ first win at WV State since the 1990-91 season.
