PRINCETON Senior guard Katie Biggs (Sykesville, Md./Glenelg) of the Shepherd University women’s basketball team has been named WVIAC Player of the Week, as announced by the league office.

Biggs guided the Rams to a 2-0 week by averaging 24 points and six rebounds. She netted a career-high 28 points to help SU overcome a 21-point second half deficit in a 76-72 double overtime win over league-leading Davis & Elkins. Biggs hit for 20 points in a 74-68 win over Bluefield State.

For the week, she added three assists, two blocks and a pair of steals.
