The Shepherd University Women’s Athletic Alliance will sponsor a free Recruiting Information session on Saturday, Jan. 28 at the Shepherd University Wellness Center. The event is geared toward providing recruiting process information to student-athletes (grades 9-12), parents and coaches.

The panel discussion will include coaches for the women’s sports (basketball, lacrosse, soccer, softball, tennis and volleyball), the director of financial aid and the admissions director.

Topics to be covered include: Recruiting timelines, both general and for specific sports; NCAA rules and regulations; NCAA Clearinghouse; financial aid/scholarship information; admission process outline and tips; and etiquette for student athletes and parents during the recruiting process.

The event is broken down into topic areas with the following schedule: 12-1 p.m.: Coaches Q&A; 1-1:30 p.m., financial aid and admissions presentation; 1:30-1:45 p.m., continue reception and meet and greet; 2 p.m., tip off of Shepherd’s women’s basketball game (cost separate).
