Junior pitcher Tricia Bettura (Canfield, OH/Canfield) of the Shepherd University softball team has been named the WVIAC Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the league office.

She worked 12 innings on the week, giving up just two earned runs. She struck out 12 and walked four on the week. Bettura went 2-0 on the week. After working five innings while striking out seven in a shutout win over Chowan, she went the distance in the victory over West Chester. In the victory, Bettura struck out five.
