Senior first baseman Nathan Minnich of the Shepherd University baseball team has been named National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Atlantic Region Player of the Week for the second consecutive week.

Minnich posted a .692 batting average on the week, helping the Rams to a 5-0 week. Minnich belted a pair of home runs and had a double while raising his batting average to .531 for the season. In a sweep of West Liberty, he went seven-for-seven with six RBI and six runs scored. Minnich was walked five times and hit by four pitches on the week as well. He still posted six RBI and scored nine runs in the week.
