Registration is currently underway for the Jefferson County Youth Football League. Players and cheerleaders who wish to sign up may do so at the Charles C. Marcus field in Ranson on the following dates: Saturdays, June 16 and 23 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.; Wednesday, June 20 6 to 7:30 p.m.; Tuesday, July 10 and Thursday, July 12f rom 6 to 7:30 p.m. and Friday, July 13, 6 to 8 p.m. Additional registration is available July 14 at 8 a.m. prior to the 9 a.m. draft and on Sunday, July 15 from 1 to 3 p.m. those registering July 15 will go into a blind draft.

Registration fees are $110 until June 20, then increase to $135 per player. Football fees include use of uniform, equipment and league insurance. Players must purchase their own cleats and mouth piece. Cheerleader fee includes the use of uniforms and league insurance. Cheerleaders will be required to purchase sneakers as designed by coach, socks and hair accessories. Other items may be available but will not be mandatory.

All new participants must present a copy of birth certificate at registration. Health insurance information is also needed for all participants. Age requirements for the league are 6-13 years of age as of August 1, 2012.
