Oakland will host Upward Flag Football again this fall. Upward is a faith based sports league for children from kindergarten through fifth grade. Early bird registration is going on now. Cost is $65 per child. After July 28, the cost is $75 per child. Flag football shorts are optional at the cost of $15. Everyone must attend one flag football evaluation. Evaluations will be held on the Oakland playing fields as follows: K5 through fifth grade boys/girls: Saturday, July 28, 9-11 a.m. or Saturday, Aug. 4, 9-11 a.m.
