Easton named Shepherd softball assistant

Shepherd University head softball coach Leslie Lopez announced recently that Danielle Easton has been named assistant softball coach. Easton replaces Jess Detrick, who resigned to pursue other interests.

Easton comes to Shepherd after spending last season as an assistant at Washington & Jefferson College. Easton was a four-year starter as a third-baseman/catcher at California University of Pennsylvania from 2007-11. She was a two-time First Team All-PSAC West honoree. Easton gained First Team NFCA All-Region and NFCA Scholar-Athlete accolades as a junior.

A native of Hanover, Pennsylvania, Easton gained her bachelor’s degree from California (Pa.) in 2011.
