Robinson named player of week

Senior cornerback Keon Robinson (Fairfax Station, VA/Lake Braddock) of the Shepherd University football team has been named WVIAC Special Teams Player of the Week for his standout play in Shepherd’s 41-20 win over West Virginia State on Saturday. Robinson gained WVIAC weekly honors for the third time this season.

Robinson had a sensational game on special teams for the Rams in the win at West Virginia State. Robinson returned a punt 61 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter. After a field goal for the Yellow Jackets in the third period, Robinson returned the ensuing kickoff 88 yards for a score. He accounted for 217 all-purpose yards in the game.
