Senior cornerback Keon Robinson (Fairfax Station, VA/Lake Braddock) of the Shepherd University football team has been named to the 2012 Daktronics, Inc., Division II All-Super Region 1 football team as selected by the region’s sports information directors. Robinson gained first team honors.

Robinson, a first team All-Region selection in 2010, helped spearhead a Shepherd defense that leads NCAA II in rushing defense (52.64), while ranking eighth in tackles for loss (8.73) and ninth in scoring defense (16.64). He recorded 52 tackles on the year with 40 solo stops. Robinson had four interceptions (one touchdown), 10 pass breakups, a pair of fumble recoveries, and a blocked kick. He added 14 kickoff returns for a 20.9 average (one touchdown) and 17 punt returns for a 10.9 average (one touchdown).
