Here’s a great way for youngsters ages 8 – 12 serious about football to learn skills of the game in a non-contact camp offered by Jefferson County Parks and Recreation.

Fling in the Spring focuses on football passing/receiving skills and position fundamentals taught by volunteer WVSSAC and USA Football certified coaches. Each session will offensive and defensive group instruction followed by a 7-on-7 competition to reinforce and showcase the skills being taught.

The camp will take place and Sam Michael’s Park on Sundays from 1-3 p.m. starting March 17 and running through May 19, with open dates on March 31 and May 12. All campers will receive tee shirts with their $35 fee. Registration is now open online at www.JCPRC.org. Fling in the Spring is limited to 40 campers.
