St. Agnes Knights of Columbus crowned 10 free throw champions from the Shepherdstown area, ages 9-14, at the recent free throw contest.

The 10 were named Council #13887 Champions and heave earned the right to compete at the District Level in West Virginia.

The K.O.C. In Shepherdstown has sponsored the free throw contest for 10 years. All youngsters ages 9-14 were eligible to participate.

Each contestant was allowed 15 free throw attempts in the contest. Each of the following winners will compete in the district competition Jan. 31 in Martinsburg with an eye toward winning at the state level.

Winners included, in the girl’s division, Keleigh Chrisman, age 9, Maggie Schmidt, age 10, Kiran Cole, age 11 and Maya Garcia, age 14. The boy’s division winners were Wyatt Shively, age 9, William Shively, age 10; Samuel Wadnitz, age 11; Cade Corwine, age 12; Jack Ransom, age 12; and Taylor Tennant, age 14.
