Jefferson County Youth Football and Cheerleading have begun registrations for the upcoming season. Registrations are open for all new and returning participants and will be held at Charles C. Marcus Field in Ranson (behind Weis) each Tuesday from June 9 to July 7 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. as well as Saturday, June 20 from 9 a.m. to noon and July 11 from 9 to 11 a.m. (This will also be tryouts so all new players should be prepared to tryout that day.) A Friday, July 10, 6-8 p.m. registration will also be held.

Fee for registration is $110. For football players, the fee includes use of uniform, equipment and league insurance. Players must purchase their own cleats and mouth piece. The cheerleader fee includes the use of uniforms and league insurance. Cheerleaders will be required to purchase sneakers, socks and hair accessories to be determined by the coach.

The age requirement for participants states they must be between the ages of 6 and 13 as of August 1, 2015 for football and 5 and 13 for cheerleading.

All new participants must present a copy of their birth certificate. Registration can be done online at www.jcyfl.net or download the form and bring to the field.
