There were 25 teams entered in the Judges Classic cross country meet in Winchester and the Jefferson boys finished third as a team. Mason Young was 16th in the individual standings and Colin Hayes was 22nd as the top two Jefferson finishers.

The Cougar girls were 14th at the same Judges Classic race.

Vanessa Pratt gave Jefferson a 23rd place in that division of the annual event.

At the well-respected, well-attended Oatlands Invitational in Leesburg, the Jefferson boys were 14th as a team and had a team score of 502.

There were 390 runners in the race and 56 complete teams entered.

Rohann Asfaw from Richard Montgomery High won the race with his time of 17:29.

Young was again Jefferson’s top finisher with his 60th place. Hayes was Jefferson’s second-best finisher and he was 74th overall.

At the Oatlands, the Jefferson girls were 25th overall with a team score of 700. There were 319 runners in the girls division and Vanessa Pratt was 70th, with Morgan May finishing 102nd. Pratt was timed in 21:06. Heather Holt of George Marshall High topped the field with a winning time of 17:52.
