After stopping Musselman on Monday, Jefferson posted five more wins last week to improve its record to 12-1 overall.

Austin Cross had a complete game, low-run win over Martinsburg. The senior left-hander fanned nine and yielded only six hits in a 5-1 win over the Bulldogs.

Cross allowed no walks and the run he was nicked for was unearned.

Daniel Brennan and Austin Bulman both went 1-for-2 with a run scored and one RBI. Dalton Jamison was 1-for-2 and both Cole Walker and Cross went 1-for-3.

The next night, Bulman had a 14-strikeout performance against Spring Mills as the Cougars posted a 7-0 win.

Bulman was nicked for only three hits and walked only one. He took 92 pitches to record the seven-inning shutout.

Bulman also had a home run and went 2-for-4 with three RBIs. Cory Roman had two hits, scored twice and doubled.

Dalton Jamison was 2-for-2 with Alex Tennant getting a hit and two RBIs. Dalton Dodson drove in two runs and had a hit.

In a 6-1 win over St. Albans of Washington, D.C. the Cougars had Taylor Tennant get the pitching win with five innings of four-hit work. Tennant allowed just one run while fanning eight and walking three. Jordan Trunnell finished up with two innings of no-hit pitching where he fanned one and did not walk anybody.

Cross was 1-for-2 with two runs scored and two RBIs. Brennan had a hit and one RBI. Bulman scored twice and had a hit and Walker had a hit and scored a run.

Cross got his second win of the week when he blanked Grace Academy (Hagerstown) over four innings in a 7-0 win.

Cross allowed two hits, struck out seven and did not give up a walk. Trunnell pitched two scoreless innings, allowed a hit and two walks and fanned two.

Walker was 3-for-3, scored twice and had an RBI. Roman drove in three runs, had a home run and scored once.

Tennant scored twice and had a hit. Cross was 1-for-2 with one RBI. And Bulman stole two bases.

The Cougars bounced Grace, 16-3, in the nightcap of the doubleheader played on Saturday.

The game was abbreviated to five innings by the mercy rule.

Cory Daly went 3-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs scored. Walker was 1-for-2 with two RBIs and a run scored.

Cross scored two times, Roman scored two more runs, Jamison scored twice and had a hit and Dalton Dodson scored three runs and drove in another one.

David Dinges and Jamison were the Jefferson pitchers with Jamison getting the win with two innings of no-hit pitching that featured four strikeouts, no runs allowed and only one walk.

The Cougars will be in Myrtle Beach next week for at least four games in a week-long tournament.
