Shepherd volleyball and women’s soccer keep on winning
SHEPHERDSTOWN — Last weekend, the Shepherd volleyball team improved its overall record to 19-4 with a pair of wins. On Saturday, the Rams defeated Kutztown, 3-0, in the Butcher Center to shove their conference record to 10-0. Game scores in the win over Kutztown were 25-15, 25-19 and 25-14. It was Shepherd’s 11th straight win and keeps it in first place in the East Division of the PSAC standings.
Rylee Lenz and Jordan Pryor each had eight kills, while Amya Davis and Sophia Ryan both had seven kills.
Shepherd had 40 kills as a team and was credited with 36 assists.
Macy Buso had 28 assists and seven digs in the streak-preserving win.
The Rams will host conference rival Lock Haven tonight at 7 p.m. in the Butcher Center.
Shepherd’s women’s soccer team had a 1-0 win over Lock Haven in an East Division game of the PSAC. The latest soccer success gave the Rams the most wins in a single season in school history and improved the team record to 11-1-4 overall.
The Rams are now the sole occupants of first place in the East Division of the conference.
The game’s only goal was provided by Lydia Gable on an assist pass from Reagan Ackermann.
Shepherd’s first place record in conference games is now 11-1-2.
