Moore, Osborne gain All-WVIAC honors

Senior forward Chad Moore (Winchester, VA/John Handley) and junior guard Brantley Osborne (Sunbury, PA/Shikellamy) of the Shepherd University men’s basketball team have been named to the 2012-13 All-WVIAC Men’s Basketball Team as announced by the league office. Moore gained first team honors, while Osborne was a second team selection.

Moore, a first team selection for the second consecutive year, leads the WVIAC in scoring with a 22.6 average. He is third in the conference in rebounding (9.2) and steals (2.54). Moore’s 11 double-doubles on the year rank second in the WVIAC. He is the first Ram to gain back-to-back first team All-WVIAC accolades since Antar Parkman in 2000-01.

Osborne tops the WVIAC in free throw percentage (.897) and three-point field goals made (3.38). His .455 three-point field goal percentage is sixth in the league. Osborne averages 16.8 points, 2.7 assists and 1.5 steals. His 88 three-pointers this year established a new Shepherd season record.
