Lott gains All-American honors

Junior outfielder Michael Lott (Woodbridge, VA/Woodbridge) of the Shepherd University baseball team was named to the 2013 ABCA Division II All-America Team. Lott, a first team selection, also garnered ABCA Atlantic Region Golden Glove honors along with junior pitcher Paul Hvozdovic (Herndon, VA/Herndon).

Lott batted .406 for the Rams this year. He drove in 32 runs and scored a team-best 54. Lott added a team-high 19 doubles, two triples, and three home runs. He drew 23 walks and went 28-of-33 in stolen bases this season. His 28 stolen bases set a new Shepherd season mark.

Lott also posted a .984 fielding percentage with four assists and only two errors in 128 chances. Hvozdovic, who posted a 10-5 mark on the mound for the Rams, recorded a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage with four putouts and 29 assists in 33 chances.
