The Shepherd University women’s lacrosse team and senior midfielder Jenny Cavey (Sykesville, MD/Westminster) have earned academic honors from the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA).

The Rams were one of 22 NCAA Division II teams to earn 2013 IWLCA Academic Squad honors for the 2013 season. Every school with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher received this honor.

Cavey, a rising senior majoring in recereation/leisure studies with a concentration in sport and event management, was one of 190 students from 68 schools to be selected to the 2013 IWLCA Academic Honor Roll. All student-athletes were nominated by their schools and have achieved at least junior status academically.
