Barber named co-defensive player of week
Junior outside linebacker Levi Barber (Alexandria, Va./Edison) of the Shepherd University football team has been named MEC Co-Defensive Player of the Week for his stellar play in Shepherd’s 27-7 win over Fairmont State last Saturday.
Barber helped the Shepherd defense keep the opposing offense off the board for the second-straight week. He recorded seven solo tackles, including a tackle-for-loss in a win over Fairmont State (FSU’s lone score came on defense). Barber also picked off a pass and recovered a fumble that he returned 89 yards for atouchdown in the win over the Falcons.
