Shepherd athletics to offer new corporate sponsorship program
Shepherd University is expanding opportunities for businesses to support the Rams and gain visibility with fans and university alumni through the Ram Partner Program. Coming off one of its most successful football seasons ever, Shepherd is constructing a pavilion overlooking Ram Stadium, called Ram Nation Hospitality Village, where corporate sponsors can host hospitality events and watch the games. Ram Partners will have visibility throughout all athletic venues around campus and the option to be interactive with fans throughout the 2016-17 season.
Depending on level of sponsorship, benefits of the program include web advertisements, corporate banners displayed at select athletic home fields, logos on select sports schedule posters, season tickets, premier parking during football games, corporate sponsored in-game contests, invitations to exclusive Ram Nation nights, football media day luncheons, and exclusive Ram Nation Under Armor gear. Sponsorship levels vary from $10,000 to $500, with a portion that’s tax deductible.
“Our conference, regional and national success in football, lacrosse, baseball, golf and softball during the past year has brought a great amount of excitement to Ram Nation,” said Aaron Ryan, assistant athletic director-external affairs. “We are proud to provide our Ram Nation Partners with an opportunity to have a new game day experience. Whether it is through hospitality options under the new pavilion or hosting a corporate night at one of the other sports venues, this program has an option for all.”
The Ram Partners Program promises to expose participating businesses to 5,000 Shepherd students, faculty, and staff and 22,000 alumni, most of whom live in a 100-mile radius of campus. Shepherd football is ranked second nationally among 167 Division II programs, with a team that made it to the national championship in 2015. Home football games attract an average of 5,000 fans. Home basketball games have averaged 700 fans over the past two seasons. For more information, contact Aaron Ryan at 304-876-5527.
