Benjamin Riley Cooper

Benjamin Riley Cooper, 32, of Shepherdstown passed away Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014.

Born Sept. 12, 1981, in Winchester, Virginia, he was the son of John Riley Cooper and Diana Hammond.

Ben was an avid motorcyclist.

He is survived by his mother, Diana Hammond (Bryan Roesch), of Kearneysville; father, John Cooper (Debbie Cooper), of Martinsburg; grandparents, Forrest and Mildred Hammond, of Kearneysville and Wilma Cooper, of Inwood; and his faithful K-9 companion, Jude.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, John Cooper.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry.

Services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Jefferson FFA Memorial Fund, c/o Jefferson High School, 4141 Flowing Springs Road, Shenandoah Junction, WV 25442.
